I have been declared uninsurable due to pre existing conditions. I am going through the PCIP to get insurance for myself. My issue is in trying to get coverage for my kids. They have had Medi-Cal, but now that I'm employed, I believe that we make too much for that to continue. I have applied for child only policies with Kaiser and Blue Shield and am being told that neither one or anyone else for that matter, is writing child-only policies. How can I get insurance for my kids? I need to have coverage for them... firstly, just because they're kids and there's no telling what they're going to get into, but also because one is mildly asthmatic and the other one is epileptic and bipolar.
